I help organizations see the culture they have actually created, not the one they believe they have created.

For more than twenty-five years, I have worked at the intersection of contemporary art, cultural institutions, public life, and organizational leadership. My career has taken me from Christo and Jeanne-Claude's The Gates and P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center to leading museums, nonprofit organizations, creative economies, and one of the largest urban arts districts in the United States. Along the way, I managed multimillion-dollar organizations, built public-private partnerships, launched international cultural initiatives, and helped secure millions of dollars in philanthropic investment for artists and communities.

Those experiences taught me that organizations are not simply administrative structures. They are cultural creations. Every institution tells a story through the way it distributes power, rewards behavior, responds to conflict, and defines success. Like works of art, they shape the people who inhabit them.

Today I am based in Cairo, where I continue my work across artistic production, cultural strategy, and institutional design. Living and working in the Arab world has expanded my perspective beyond Western organizational assumptions and deepened my interest in how culture, creativity, and power interact to shape societies.

My work sits at the intersection of art, systems thinking, and organizational strategy, helping leaders and institutions build cultures that are not only effective, but coherent, creative, and deeply human.

I have spent my career moving between worlds that rarely speak to one another.

I have worked inside museums, public institutions, philanthropy, city government, nonprofit leadership, and independent artistic practice. I understand the realities of budgets, governance, boards, fundraising, and organizational accountability because I have led them firsthand.

At the same time, I have spent decades working alongside artists whose practice depends on questioning assumptions, seeing patterns others overlook, and imagining alternatives where others see limitations.

That combination is what makes my work different.

I don't approach organizations solely as management problems or cultural problems. I approach them as living systems whose structures, stories, incentives, and relationships continuously shape one another.

My role is not simply to solve problems.

It is to help organizations understand the patterns that created those problems in the first place.

I believe creativity is not confined to studios, stages, or galleries.

Every organization is a creative act.

Every policy, reporting structure, hiring decision, meeting, and incentive system is a design choice that shapes culture over time.

Most organizations focus on visible outcomes while overlooking the invisible structures producing those outcomes. My work begins by making those structures visible.

Drawing from contemporary art, systems thinking, complexity science, and more than two decades of executive leadership, I help leaders see the relationships between culture, power, creativity, and organizational design. Rather than importing generic management frameworks, I work collaboratively to uncover each organization's unique dynamics and identify the small structural shifts capable of producing meaningful, lasting change.

I believe the healthiest organizations are those whose values, incentives, and everyday practices reinforce one another.

When those elements become coherent, creativity expands, trust grows, and institutions become capable of fulfilling the missions they were created to serve.
