The most important cultural conversations happening right now are taking place outside institutional frameworks — in cities, communities, and contexts that have been systematically excluded.
I am a cultural mythographer, writer, former institutional insider and heretical revelationist with twenty-five years operating at the highest levels of the international art world — running organizations, producing large-scale public works, directing national programs, raising millions for communities the establishment had written off. I know how the machinery of culture operates because I ran parts of it.
I left because the charade was over.
I am now based in Cairo, where I chose to stay — in active relationship with the culture, life, language, and art of Bilad al-Arab.
What I offer academic institutions and documentary makers specifically:
A practitioner’s voice with theoretical depth — for guest lectures, course contributions, and research consultation on cultural production, power, and systems.
Ground-level cultural access and analysis — for documentary projects requiring someone who can read a context from the inside, not the outside.
A bridge between lived experience and rigorous intellectual frameworks — for researchers who suspect their current methodology isn’t reaching the real question.
I work now at the intersection of artistic production, cultural analysis, and structural revelation — with the people who are done pretending. The ones still asking the real questions. The ones who know that what we need isn’t a better version of what already exists, we need an entirely new model based on justice and collective good.
“For generations, the CV (Curriculum Vitae) has served as our formal introduction to the world of work. But in this new era, something deeper is being asked of us. Not just a record of what we’ve done, but a transmission of who we are becoming.” - ESSENTIAL WE
TRANSMISSIONS FROM THE EDGE
Field Reports on Reclaiming Sovereignty and Breaking Boundaries
What happens when you let go of everything—the job, the home, the expectations—and set out into the world with nothing but two suitcases and a vision? This podcast is part manifesto, part field report, and part creative rebellion. It’s about reclaiming the sacred feminine, dismantling oppressive systems, and rediscovering our creative sovereignty as borderless, boundless beings.
Each episode is a transmission from the edge—conversations with cultural heretics, artists, visionaries, and outlaws who are creating the future. This isn’t about fitting into neat boxes or palatable narratives; it’s about messy truths, fierce courage, and the alchemy of shadow and light.
Why Listen?
Because you’re done with the noise of conformity. Because you crave a world where art, connection, and imagination lead the way. Because somewhere deep inside, you know there’s more—and you’re ready to find it.

We reject binaries, a linear-only understanding of time, and the limiting constructs imposed by a Western-dominant worldview.
These paradigms have fostered artificial divisions and fractured our understanding of who we are and the roles we play within the vast, interconnected story of existence.
Ours is a world where the word 'heresy'— once used to vilify those who defied orthodoxy—has become a profound act of truth-telling. In a world entirely heretical to cosmic law, embracing heresy is, paradoxically, a return to natural order. It is a reclamation of integrity, imagination, and interconnection—an act of defiance against systems that distort and fragment our shared reality.
Instead, we affirm that everyone holds the birthright to reclaim their imagination, author their own narratives, and embody their profound interconnection with the universe.
We invite you to step beyond the constructs of division and distortion, to inhabit the radical, imaginative potential of a life lived in alignment with the greater cosmic story—a story that is yours to write, yours to live, and ours to share.
